COLLEGE PARK, Md - The University of Maryland, College Park, has named Jessica Roberts as Senior Executive Director of the University of Maryland Alumni Association, effective July 14, 2024. After a highly competitive national search, Roberts emerged as the ideal leader to guide the Alumni Association into its next chapter.

Jessica Roberts brings with her a wealth of experience and a distinguished record of strategic leadership. Since joining the Alumni Association in January 2008, she has held various key positions, most recently serving as Chief of Staff and Managing Director of Board Operations. Her tenure is marked by significant achievements that have strengthened the association and enhanced alumni engagement. "Jessica is a proven leader with over 20 years of institutional knowledge. We are extremely fortunate to have her expertise joining our senior leadership team as our chief alumni officer," said Vice President for University Relations Jim Harris.

"Being named the Senior Executive Director is an absolute dream come true for me. Maryland has given me everything; my education, my husband, friendships, memories and the last 15 years of my career. Being able to give back to my alma mater in this way is incredible. I am here to help amplify the impact Terps are making across the globe, double our engagement with alums and influence alums globally to do one thing for their alma mater every year. We are all in this together with a collective responsibility to contribute actively to the University's ongoing success and legacy," said Roberts.

Roberts earned a B.A. in communication from UMD Park and an MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus. She is a longstanding member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, the American Society of Association Executives and the Association of Governing Boards.
