University of Maryland to Host Winter 2017 Commencement

The University of Maryland’s winter 2017 main commencement ceremony will take place on Dec. 19, 2017. Graduates will celebrate the culmination of their UMD experience while receiving a commencement address by Congressman Elijah E. Cummings, who will also receive an honorary doctorate of public service from the university. He will be joined by this year’s student speaker, Rachel Smith, who is graduating with a degree in immigration and ethnic studies.

PARKING/CHECK-IN:
To ensure access to the ceremony, media must RSVP and show credentials upon entry. Media must park in lot 4B and enter the Xfinity Center through the loading dock.
