Join us for the University of Maryland’s fifth annual Giving Day, its largest day of giving in support of scholarships, research, athletics and the arts. Staff, faculty and students will celebrate the 24-hour philanthropic challenge with a Giving Day party on campus featuring the marching band, Testudo and a custom ice cream from the Maryland Dairy.
WHAT:
Last year, more than 6,000 donors supported the university on Giving Day raising more than half a million dollars in support of scholarships alone. This year, for the first time, a Giving Day celebration in front of the University of Maryland student center will feature TERPRIDE, samples of the custom Double the Dough ice cream flavor, photos with Testudo, performances from members of the Spirit Squad and giveaways to celebrate the day-long giving challenge.
