  • Shibley Telhami is the Anwar Sadat Professor for Peace and Development, Distinguished Scholar-Teacher, and the Director of the University of Maryland Critical Issues Poll. His work explores foreign policy, focusing on political identity, public opinion and the impact of information revolution on attitudes.

  • Ilai Saltzman is the Director of the Gildenhorn Institute for Israel Studies with a specialization in Israeli foreign and security policy and Israeli politics and society.

  • Marwa Maziad, a visiting lecturer, explores Middle East regional politics and military affairs.

  • Scott Lasensky served as a Senior Policy Advisor on Israel, the Middle East and Jewish affairs in the Obama administration from 2011-2017. His work focuses on US-Israel relations and the American Jewish community.

  • Morad Elsana is a research scholar whose work concentrates on Palestinian human rights including eviction and displacement, house demolition, racial justice and education.
  • Joshua Shifrinson specializes in contemporary international security, with his research engaging on broad issues of great power politics, U.S. foreign policy and diplomatic history.
