Progyan Basu

Progyan Basu is a professor with expansive expertise in financial accounting. His MBA-level course, “Doing Business in India: An Engine for Growth and Opportunities,” has earned Smith awards for the way it covers the cultural, administrative, geographic, and economic factors that continue to shape India’s economic development. Basu has been recognized for teaching contributions to undergraduate and Executive MBA programs at Smith School, receiving the Allen C. Krowe Teaching Excellence Award, CIBER Award for Teaching Innovation Global Learning, Distinguished Teaching Awards for multiple years, and Teaching Innovation Grants from University of Maryland.
