City of College Park Hosts Annual College Park Day Festival

COLLEGE PARK, Md - On Saturday, October 18, from noon to 6 p.m., the City of College Park will host its annual College Park Day at the College Park Aviation Museum and Airport. This fun-filled, community event showcases local organizations, City and County services, University programs, and lots of activities for everyone.

Expected to attract thousands from the City and the surrounding areas, College Park Day features live music and performances, three stages of performances, races, live pumpkin carving, games, 50+ artists and community exhibitors, 17+ food and drink vendors, free admission to the College Park Aviation Museum, helicopter and plane fly-ins, and much more.

Performers and guests include:

  • Main Stage: The Beach Bumz, Hey 1979, and Vertigo Red
  • Family Stage: Science Guys of Baltimore, Guava Jelly, Dance Party with Claysmile, Kangaroo Kids, 123 Andrés, and The Great Zucchini
  • Community Stage: Ocho de Bastos, UMD’s Gymkana, and Grupo Folklorico Internacional
  • Roving performances by clowns, jugglers, stilt walkers, and more. Other activities include face painting, races, live pumpkin carving demonstration, games, pumpkin painting, crafts, and insect petting zoo.
  • Artist Alley featuring 20+ local artists displaying and selling unique, hand-made arts and crafts
  • A public safety demonstration from Prince George’s County Public Safety Crews, including fire, police, and EMS.
  • Local festival food options offered by Taqueria Habanero, PhoWheels, Catalyst Hot Dogs, Cousins Maine Lobster, D’s Tropical Breeze, Jet Set BBQ, Kona Ice, Fun Stuff 4 Kids, Lameera Ice Cream, Maryland Kitchen, Mister Magic, Monroe Suggs, Pupuseria Y Taqueria El Solecito, Soul Food Elements, Two Smooth Dudes Food Truck, Cakelady Desserts, and Capitol Kettle Corn.

  • Beer options (for those 21+) offered by Streetcar 82 Brewing Co. and Denizens Brewing Co.
  • Helicopter and Plane Fly-In.
  • Free museum entry to the College Park Aviation Museum
  • ~ 30 community non-profit, University, business, and government agency exhibitors.
