Raymond Sedwick is an associate professor and director of the Space Power and Propulsion Laboratory at UMD. He is a Keystone Professor in the Clark School of Engineering and director of the aerospace engineering honors program. Sedwick’s research interests include orbital debris remediation architectures, advanced space power generation and spacecraft propulsion. 

He is the recipient of a National Science Foundation CAREER award, which provides $400,000 over five years for research support. Dr. Sedwick is an associate editor of the Journal of Spacecraft and Rockets and serves on the AIAA Nuclear and Future Flight Technical Committee.
